Hello I am Tondalaya Myrick and I have over come so many things in life. Life started off hard for me, my parents where married, but separated before I was born. My grandparents raised me because my mother was on drugs and my father was not 'in the picture'. I was raised by wonderful grandparents, but was teased for most of my life.

Always being the "big girl," for years I had low self-esteem, and use to emotionally beat myself up because I didn't look like any of my family! I was already 5'8" and a size 16 by the time I entered the 8th grade. Once I got into high school, I grew another 2" and wasn't as chubby anymore. I stopped hiding myself, and started talking to people.

I was always told that I had the 'face' to be a model. (Note they always said 'the face' because when I was in high school and being from Ohio we didn't know anything about plus size modeling or New York!!!) So once I got into college I would send my pictures to magazine companies because I didn't know about agencies or the right pictures to send in!  

But this year I took control of my life, and I have enough confidence for the world!!! I started an organization for women size 12+ called Club Cushions, for the empowerment of women of size. I had a rough start, but we are getting it together, and looking for all plus size women who are proud to be in their own skin!!! My big dream is to see Club Cushions everywhere. To start chapters in every city or state and to make a difference in someone's life!

Also, I am trying again at 5'10", size 16 and some 18's, to be a plus size model. My motto now is, "NY Plus Model or Bust!" I summit to any and everything I can, just to get my name out there! I want everyone to know Tondalaya Plus Model, CEO of ClubCushions.com, Confident and Curvy Woman!!!
