LiMarie shares what inspired her to write 'Paperworld':
"I have always felt deeply about how God has blessed us with such a
beautiful place to live and taking care of the earth but it was always
centered on how greed and lust for money and even the pollution from
wars helped to hurt her. I refer to the earth as a "her" because she
holds so much life within but I know that it is God who created that
life. It is amazing to me how we can so easily see the changes in
weather and how confused even the animals seem when it comes to the
changing of seasons because of global warming. More and more children
are being diagnosed with asthma due to so much pollution in the air and
yet we continue to produce products that harm the earth as well as
cause some cancers as a way to make quick money. If we all work
together to make a difference in our own way, we will see the true
value of keeping the earth clean and natural and pure. It has gotten so
out of hand and we wonder when something is going to change it...the
time is now."
Paperworld
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The earth was pure.
There was no pollution, no acid rain, no harmful sunrays, no chemicals and toxins sprayed, everything was completely natural.
As time passed, things changed and the focus shifted to money and
greed, it seemed as if mankind forgot about all the earths' needs.
We have been blessed with a beautiful place in which to spend our lives,
Deep ocean waters, mountains, and marvelous blue skies.
Trees of different sizes, flowers animals and fish...
Yet we fail to see the way in which we have mishandled taking care of all of it.
We let money, greed and laziness take over what is most important.
I know of an old Cree Indian Prophecy that reads:
"Only after the last tree has been cut down,
Only after the last river has been poisoned,
Only after the last fish has been caught,
Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten."
