Dear Olga:
I have the same old boring issue all
plus size girls have. I just can't seem to like my body and hate
looking in the mirror. I wear a size 16 but I am only 4' 11. I am super
short and really fat. I am 21 years old and I know that I am not
getting any taller, ever!
Lucky for me I have great friends that keep reminding me of how pretty
I am. I have gained an extra 30 pounds in the last 2 years and this has
made me want to hide even more.
Spring is around the corner and I would love to get out more but just
can't get out of this fat girl darkness. You are bigger than me and so
pretty and confident. How do you do it? I hope you return my email. Denny
Dear Denny J
I want you to pay close attention to my response. I want you to
first clear your mind of all those negative remarks. I don't care if
this takes you a few days. Only then can you read this letter. Your
main concern here is that you are not at the size you want to be.
Because I'm not tall myself, I understand how you feel. But I don't
understand your approach to this at all.
Remaining indoors is going to get you more depressed and you will GAIN
more if you do not participate in some type of recreational activity.
You can start small... going for walks with a good pal or even your
pet.
You are not helping by keeping those that love and care about you away
from you, like your friends. If they are willing to help you, then let
them.
Start looking in that mirror with a smile. This is your life, your body
and yes you can get more fit! Losing weight is going to help you in the
long run especially with your health. But please start loving yourself,
the funny you, the sad you, the BIG you. I want you to start making
those changes and keep me posted on your progress. You can send me a
weekly update on your journey. I will be right there with you girl.
Being 21 years old is such a beautiful time in a young Diva's life; so don't take your time for granted.
Curvy Kisses,
Olga
